For over 20 years, Carlos Pozzi, taught Spanish classical guitar, to the students of Richmond Public Schools. Carlos, came to the United States, from Argentina... speaking very little english, and knowing virtually nothing about the culture. To top everything off, he was already, quite literally fighting for his life… battling kidney disease. Despite those overwhelming odds, Carlos, managed to gain a foothold in the Richmond Public Schools system, to teach his unique guitar method, and inspire generations of very talented musicians. Carlos Pozzi, quite simply, has impacted my life more than any other mentor I've ever had.

Recently, he has fallen quite ill. As a retired teacher, his new health expenses have become rather burdensome. So, I, my former guitar ensemble members, and Carlos' close friends and colleagues, have taken it upon ourselves to give back. In some small way, we'd like to repay him for every sacrifice he has made, every lesson taught, and every example he has set. This benefit show will celebrate Carlos, and his two favorite indulgences: music and food!

Will you join us in celebrating a man who means so much to all of us? There will be great music, great food, and great people. So, come on out for a late afternoon of drinks with old friends...and some new ones...
